Meet Our Leaders

Pastor - Chris Bagley

Chris has served as pastor of Goshen since October 2014. Originally from Cumming, GA, he is passionate about pastoring the church through preaching, teaching, and shepherding the people God has entrusted to him. He is married to Megan, a teacher at Poole's Mill Elementary, and they have three daughters — Elizabeth (11), Lucy (9), and Bonnie (1).

He holds a PhD in Biblical Exposition from NOBTS.

“What I enjoy most about my role is preaching, teaching, and the people.”

Chris was saved at the age of nine during a Wednesday morning revival service at Friendship Baptist Church — a moment that shaped the trajectory of his life and ministry.

Children’s Director - Meredith Hardt

Meredith has served in children’s ministry at Goshen for 3 years, teaching Sunday School, Children’s Church, and Wednesday night activities. She loves working with children and families to build faith and share the love of Jesus.

Meredith has always lived in Waleska, GA, where she grew up attending church. She and her husband, Jeff, married in 2007 and have two girls, Madelynne and Evelynne.

She has earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education, as well as an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Teacher Leadership.

Meredith grew up in church, rarely missing a Sunday, but vividly remembers as a young child asking Jesus to be her Savior at home one night.

“I grew up in church and rarely missed a service unless I was sick. My mama has always played the piano, and my daddy served as a deacon. I always knew about the Lord, but when I was eight years old, sitting in a revival service, I realized my need for repentance and salvation. That night, I understood that I was a sinner and that without the Lord, I would spend eternity separated from Him. I prayed to accept Jesus as my Savior and vividly remember the peace that came over me. As I’ve grown older, my appreciation for all that the Lord has done — and continues to do — in my life has only deepened. My prayer is that the Lord will work through me to plant and water seeds of faith in each child entrusted to me at church, so that they too will grow to be disciples for Him in their own circles of influence.”

A Little Insight

Meredith enjoys anything with her family —

“I love spending time with my family, and we enjoy so many simple, fun activities together — walking up to visit my parents, playing four-square in the driveway, watching the kids ride their bikes, having water balloon fights with cousins, and catching lightning bugs in the yard after dark.”

As a teacher and a school leader - "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care."

As a mama - "Train up a child in the way that he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it." Our children are the future and I'm trusting the Lord to use them all for His glory and to guide me as I try my best to train them up.
